Livingston Symphony Orchestra

The Livingston Symphony Orchestra (LSO) in Livingston, NJ will perform “A Salute to Women Composers” featuring music written by women.

Maestro Jaray and the orchestra will be presenting two special works that are not regularly programmed: Joan Tower’s “Fanfare for the Uncommon Woman No. 1,” dedicated to “women who take risks and who are adventurous” and inspired by Aaron Copland’s famous “Fanfare for the Common Man,” along with Amy Beach’s Symphony No.2, “Gaelic.”

Cellist Jessica Hong, winner of the Livingston Symphony Young Artists Competition as well as of the 2013 International Virtuoso Competition, will also take part in the program. At 15 years old, Hong has already performed in France, Switzerland and South Korea.

The concert will take place on Saturday, March 22nd at 7:30 pm at Livingston High School Auditorium, Livingston, NJ.

Tickets are available at 973-980-1809, or at the door.
