Local Composers Concert

The 12th annual Women Composers Festival of Hartford begins a five day run of concerts with an evening of chamber music written by women from Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts. This Local Composers Concert features a diverse array of new music being written by living composers of all ages in the tri-state area, many of whom will be present to discuss their works that evening. New music ensembles 016 and the Dahlia Duo are featured guest performers for the event. The festival’s 2012 guest composer, Judith Shatin, will also be present.

The Local Composers Concert will take place Wednesday, March 7, 7:30PM, at the Mandell JCC’s Chase Family Gallery, on Bloomington Ave. Admission is $20, $10 for students and seniors.
