Sacha Peiser is a soprano and music theorist originally from New Orleans, Louisiana. Ms. Peiser is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Connecticut specializing in musical narrative and early 20th century British chamber music, with degrees from Loyola University of New Orleans and Louisiana State University. She teaches undergraduate and graduate music theory courses at UConn, maintains a private voice and piano studio, and performs locally with Hartford Opera Theater and the Women Composers Festival of Hartford. In the summers, she is Music Office Director of the Bowdoin International Music Festival, where she performs new works for chamber ensemble and runs the chamber music program. Before becoming President of WCFH, she was a member of the board for 2015-16, spoke on a panel for WCFH2015, and performed on the music marathon during WCFH2016.
