We are currently accepting applications to participate in our 2022 Festival’s Music Marathon, Scholarly Symposium, Emerging Composers Workshop, and the Call For Scores for our Ensemble-in-Residence concert featuring the Hartford Independent Chamber Orchestra and 2022 Composer-in-Residence Hanna Kim.

All applications are due on October 1st, 2021 at 11:59pm ET. Decisions will be sent via email by October 10th, 2021 for the Emerging Composers Workshop and December 15th, 2021 for all other events. More information can be found on our Artist Opportunities page.

The Women Composers Festival of Hartford embraces diversity of race, ethnicity, and ability. The mission of the Festival is to feature artists who identify as women, including transgender and gender-fluid individuals. The Festival is open to presentations from composers/performers/speakers who are willing to confront gender and other intersecting identities in their work.

These events will be part of the WCFH 2022 Festival, March 11 – 13, 2022 at the University of Hartford’s The Hartt School.

**We acknowledge that, given the circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, we cannot predict whether our 2022 Festival will be in-person, fully virtual, or a hybrid combination.
