This event features music that considers the effects of violence on women’s lives, including intimate partner violence, institutional racism, and the effects of war. The concert may not be appropriate for children and may be difficult for survivors of trauma. Please be aware that some of the texts include explicit descriptions of violent acts. Performers include members of the Ray of Hope project, Hartford Opera Theater, and students from Yale University under the direction of conductor Nathan Reiff.
