The 13th annual Women Composers Festival of Hartford features its annual evening of chamber music written by women from Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts. This Local Composers Concert features a diverse array of new music being written by living composers of all ages in the tri-state area, many of whom will be present to discuss their works that evening. New music ensemble 016 is the featured guest ensemble for the event. The festival’s guest composer, Hilary Tann, will be present to discuss her works on the program.
The Local Composers Concert takes place Wednesday, March 6, 7:30PM, at the Charter Oak Cultural Center. Admission is $15, $10 for students and seniors. Tickets may be purchased in advance at EventBrite.
